Arrival

  1. Park in the space in front of the gate (2 cars).
  2. The key box is to the left of the door. You will get the code by message on your arrival day.
  3. Once inside, please send us a photo of each guest's ID (see “Legal information”).

Arriving after 10 pm? No problem — just tell us roughly when.

House rules

  • Quiet hours from 11 pm to 7 am, also in the garden and at the pool. The neighbours live close by and will thank you.
  • No parties or events. Visitors during the day only, and please tell us in advance.
  • No smoking indoors. There is an ashtray on the terrace — please never drop cigarette ends in the garden (fire risk in summer).
  • Pets only by prior agreement.
  • Maximum 6 guests.

Rubbish and recycling

Please sort your rubbish in the kitchen and take it to the bins at the end of the street (about 100 m, on the right):

  • Yellow: plastic, cans and drink cartons
  • Blue: paper and cardboard
  • Green: glass (no lids)
  • Grey bin: everything else, in closed bags

Please don't leave bags outside overnight — cats and foxes will open them.

How things work

  • Air conditioning: remote on the bedside table in each bedroom. Keep windows and doors closed while it runs, and switch it off when you go out.
  • Induction hob: press ⏻, then + / −. It only works with the magnetic-base pans in the drawer.
  • Dishwasher: tablets under the sink. The “Eco” programme (button 2) is fine for everyday use.
  • Washing machine: in the utility room. Detergent on the shelf. 40 °C programme recommended.
  • Hot water: gas water heater, starts by itself. No hot water? Check that the gas tap (yellow, in the outside cupboard) is open.
  • Power cut: the fuse box is by the entrance, behind the door. Flip up any switch that is down. If it trips again, call us.

Pool

  • The pool is unsupervised. Children must always be with an adult.
  • No glass around the pool.
  • Please shower before swimming. The pool technician comes on Tuesday mornings.

Check-out

Check-out is by 10 am. Before you leave:

  1. Start the dishwasher with the used dishes.
  2. Take the rubbish to the bins.
  3. Switch off the air conditioning and close windows and shutters.
  4. Put the keys back in the key box and lock it with the code.
  5. Send us a short message: “We've left.”

Need a later check-out? Ask us the day before — if nobody arrives that day, it is often possible.

Praia da Marinha
